Nicola Sturgeon has been accused of "choosing secrecy and self-interest" in a row over deleted WhatsApp messages.
The Scottish Government has faced a huge backlash after senior SNP ministers, civil servants and public health officials were forced to admit they did not retain text conversations from the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
The former SNP leader has insisted decisions were not taken on "informal" communication channels like WhatsApp.
Alex Cole-Hamilton, the Scottish Lib Dems leader, has now called on Sturgeon to make a statement to the Scottish Parliament on why messages weren't kept.
