In terms of driving pleasure and maneuverability, the Twingo Electric offers the smallest turning circle on the market, just like its counterpart with a combustion engine. Its electric drive and its various driving modes make it even more appealing and pleasant to drive. Thanks to its 22 kWh battery, the Twingo Electric can be on the road for a whole week in the city with a single charge. And its versatile charging options enable much faster charging at the AC 22 kW charging stations, which are often found in public spaces.

After all, with its compact dimensions, its comfort in the interior and its flexibility, it is more than ever the reliable accomplice in everyday life. The new networked services in the Twingo make life easier for the driver. With Twingo Electric, they include all the special functions of Renault electric vehicles.

The Twingo Electric is the first Renault model with a water-cooled battery. The advantage: the battery temperature remains in the optimal effective range even under high load or extreme temperatures. The compact 21 kWh battery is a joint development with LG Chem and is positioned in a crash-proof manner under the driver and front passenger seats so that the space in the interior is not restricted. An aluminum crash box, which is also an integral part of the battery structure, offers additional protection for the battery in the event of a side impact.

The high-voltage battery with the latest generation of battery cells allows a range of 190 kilometers in the mixed WLTP test cycle. In the WLTP city mode, thanks to the higher proportion of recuperation phases , the range of action increases to the unrestricted everyday value of 270 kilometers. Based on the average daily mileage of small car users in Europe, which is 30 kilometers, this value allows use in an urban environment for over a week without stopping charging.
If the driver activates the energy-saving "Eco" mode by pressing a button on the center console, he can increase the combined WLTP range to 225 kilometers. To do this, the driving program throttles the power output of the electric motor and the maximum speed.

At the market launch, the Twingo Electric will be available exclusively as a special “Vibes” model. Features include the launch paintwork in Valencia orange or quartz white, 16-inch wheels with decorative elements in white and orange and the “3 Lines Vibes” striping. The interior is characterized by decorative elements in orange on the instrument panel, seat upholstery, interior door panels and gear lever surround. The extensive standard equipment includes comfort details such as the online multimedia system EASY LINK, automatic air conditioning, rear parking aid with reversing camera, front seat heating, light and rain sensor and leather steering wheel.

The series version of the Twingo Electric will be available at a later date. External features include blue decorative elements on the wheel hub covers or rims. There are also blue stripings on the vehicle flanks, which emphasize the contours of the shoulder line. The typical blue decor can also be found on the bars of the radiator grille. The “ZE Electric” logo on the B-pillars and tailgate completes the individual appearance of the battery-electric variant. In the interior, the ZE logo can be found on the selector lever for the reduction gear. The door sill trims on the front doors also have a special design.
