A video posted on social media showed two people paddling a canoe out on a street following a downpour that caused flash floods in the northern city of Corrientes, Argentina, on Sunday (March 3).
Local media cited local government in Corrientes that an estimate of up to 300 millimetres (12 inches) of rain had fallen in a matter of hours.
The municipality of the City of Corrientes described the flooding as "an unprecedented natural disaster," in a post on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter.
