MAZDA RX7 Rotary Engine Construction

Rotary or Wankel engines, although very effective in developing power from a small unit also suffer from certain issues. Thermal imbalance within the engine due to the operation of the triangular rotor, excessive HC or Hydrocarbon emissions, and oil consumption use t plague these engines. Carbon deposits was also a common issue, often sizing the engine rotor to the chamber walls.
