Born in Paris in 1911, Louise Bourgeois leaves France for the United States in 1938. Known only to a small circle for a long time, her sculpture has become internationally recognised in the last few years. At the age of 82 Louise Bourgeois represented the United States at the last Biennale in Venice. Her work, which she sometimes presents as a symbolic exorcism af traumatic memories of early childhood to tackles boldly the female state and the themes of sexuality. Available in 43 min. (2008)
