To practice various design variations and fabricate a Cogging Torque minimized PMBLDC Motor for EV application. Hence this study takes of following objectives:
1. Understanding the working of BLDC motor – thorough analysis and correlation of magnetic/electrical parameters with machine structures.
2. Analytic design review – existing structure is to be designed for a typical rating with the help of the design equation.
3. Understanding and exploring the MagNet software.
4. Representing the schematic of the existing commercial structure of BLDC in Magnet software. Performing 2D and 3D time-harmonic and transient analysis and cogging torque.
5. Practicing the various existing variations and comparing them.
6. Fabricating the motor with improved design for Cogging Torque.
