Orko is one of the most beloved characters in the Masters of the Universe franchise. He is a sorcerer and a loyal friend to He-Man or Prince Adam, Cringer, Man-At-Arms, the Sorceress, and Teela.
Even though Orko is primarily portrayed as a comic relief character, he is a lot more than that. He is prone to magical mishaps, but that is only because he lost his amulet in Eternia while trying to save the lives of Prince Adam and Cringer.
The sorcerer has been a part of several spin-offs of the original 1983 He-Man and the Masters Of The Universe series. And as such, his story has often been retold and expanded upon.
