Penduduk yang terkena dampak pembangunan proyek Rempang Eco-City, akan direlokasi ke Tanjung Banon di Rempang, yang berjarak tiga kilometer dari lokasi awal. Tanah dengan luas 500 meter dan bangunan tipe 45, termasuk sertifikat hak milik, akan diberikan sebagai kompensasi. Pemerintah juga menyatakan bahwa 300 dari 900 keluarga telah siap untuk direlokasi.

Indonesian Investment Minister, Bahlil Lahadalia, has canceled plans to relocate locals on Rempang Island to Galang Island. Locals affected by the development of the Rempang Eco-City project, will now be relocated to Tanjung Banon in Rempang, which is three kilometers away from the initial location. A 500-meter land with a type 45 building, including a freehold title, will be given as compensation for those who will be relocated.
