Whilst attending the Didcot Railway Centre's 'Diesel Gala' of 2015, we were able to film along the Railway Centre's two standard gauge demonstration lines, from the view of the driver!
We kick things off with a ride along the 1/2 mile 'Main Line', filmed on board GWR Railcar No. W22. This runs from Oxford Road to the Centre Entrance.
The second ride showcases the 1/4 mile 'Branch Line', which runs from Didcot Halt to the Transfer Shed (named Burlescombe). For this, we were very kindly offered, by a Didcot volunteer, to travel inside the cab of Autocoach No. W231, with Class 08 No. 08604 'Sampson' providing the motive power.
This video showcases the two demonstration lines from a very unique viewpoint!
