Today's video is a care guide and species profile on the Firemouth cichlid (Thorichthys meeki). Firemouths are beautiful cichlids with grey, red and blue colors that really stand out in a tank, and they are a Central American cichlid.
Due to their temperament and size, they are compatible tank mates with many American cichlids. Some tank mate options that will usually work well are Jack Dempsey's, Convicts, Nicaraguans, Severums, Geophagus, some Veija, and larger barbs or tetras.
They're a great cichlid to keep, and one that I would highly recommend!
