If you’re staying in Krabi town and are keen for a local experience, wake up early (preferably starting sometime between 6 and 8am) and head down to Maharaj Soi 7 for the Maharaj Morning Market! This wet market is a happening place every morning, with lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, seafood, meat, flowers, spices, and more! It’s also a wonderful place to get a fresh Thai breakfast at an affordable rate! We try Thai fried chicken, vermicelli noodles, fried dough, and steamed buns, and there are a lot more options available to you if you choose to pay a visit! Don’t forget to wear close-toed shoes, as the floor can get pretty wet in the meat and seafood section – you’ve been warned! This local tip is certainly something we’d recommend!
