The last two days have been really tough. 🤯 We’ve just completed a marathon stage consisting of two special stages (SS). 🏁 But we’re halfway through Dakar 2025 and currently leading the entire race! 🏆 The first part, 428 km long, was like a minefield for tires. 💥 The sharp lava rocks took a serious toll, and if it weren’t for Kees Koolen, who gave us a spare tire, who knows how it would have ended. 🙏 Amazing teamwork from the MM Technology team! 🤝 Then came a night without mechanics or assistance, with temperatures dropping close to freezing. ❄️ We barely got any sleep 😴 and started the similarly long second part the next morning. But we really enjoyed that stage, cruising with a big lead like in a video game. 🎮🚗 Huge kudos to Ferry for his navigation! 🗺️✨ While the competition was all over the place, we nailed it perfectly. ✅ A rest day awaits us, but as you know, it’s not exactly relaxing for me. 😅 The real wellness treatment will go to Benny 🛠️ to make sure he’s ready for the second half of Dakar. 🏜️ It might seem like the hardest part is behind us, but don’t forget, we still have challenges ahead, like the massive dunes in the Empty Quarter, where anything can happen. 💪
