Celebrating the Life of Stunt Performer Kitty O'Neil

Google celebrated the 77th birthday of American stunt performer Kitty O'Neil with a Google Doodle. O'Neil was born in 1946 in Corpus Christi, Texas, and became deaf at a young age due to childhood illnesses. Despite this, she was an accomplished athlete and extreme sports enthusiast, competing in diving and later transitioning into racing and stunts. O'Neil worked as a stunt double in various films and TV shows, including The Bionic Woman, Wonder Woman, and The Blues Brothers. She also set several records, including the women's land-speed record in 1976 and the record for the highest free-fall by a woman during the filming of Wonder Woman. O'Neil passed away in 2018 at the age of 72.
