We are celebrating today the World ART NOUVEAU Day, paying a tribute to the creativity of two of the most important European representatives of this artistic movement: Antonio Gaudi and Ödön Lechner.

In 2017, 2018 and 2019 the city of Oradea joined this initiative, organizing a series of events meant to promote Art Nouveau towards the local community and tourists.The events were part of the ARTNOUVEAU project, financed by the Danube Transnational Cooperation Programme, having the municipality of Oradea as a Lead Partner.

This year Oradea is joining the topic proposed at European level - "stained-glass Art Nouveau". The concept is aligned to the specific characteristics of the Art Nouveau movement, inspired by natural motifs, especially flora and fauna. The eight edition of the World ART NOUVEAU Day organized this year will highlight these motifs as they were transposed by artists on glass.

We hereby invite you for a virtual journey full of colors, flowers and reflections, hidden in the palaces throughout the city and still not discovered by the public.
