This is my advice from Years of walking though farms with Cows and Bulls now it does not mean to say my advice is going stop you from being injured or killed. If you want walk though a field with cattle your safety is down to you not me as i sure your agree.
So this is from todays lockdown walk on a route i not done before and i had some cows follow me some was about to charge run towards me but i raised my voice while raising my arms to get them to back off. Most the time cows are fine but some times they follow you this can go from following to running towards you. Try to avoid being pinned up against a fence or trampled on or even a ears bitten off yes this does happen. I think every year people killed by cattle or often injured. I think most the time its when people have a dog and the cows have baby cows they can become aggressive and of course a bull as well can be much more of a problem you want ideally avoid if you can getting close to a bull or the cows when a bull is about.
