Easy, healthy and tasty breakfast sorekai Idli recipe / bottle gourd Idli recipe. No fermentation needed to make this idli, also it is vegan, gluten free breakfast as well.
1.5 cup akki tari / rice rave
1 small sorekayi /bottle gourd /opo /lauki
Around 1 to 1 1/4 cup of grated sorekai
1 tbsp kadle bele / chana dal /split bengal gram
1 tbsp hesaru bele /split green gram /moong dal
Wash and soak the dals in 1/4 cup of water for 15 to 30 minutes
1/2 tsp pepper powder(coarsely crushed)
5 to 6 green chilies - finely chopped
You can either use chilies or pepper powder or skip both
around 1 1/4 tsp salt or salt to taste
1/2 tsp jeera or cumin seeds
1/2 cup grated coconut
around 1/2 cup water
1 to 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
Grease the idli plates and keep it ready
