Trumpeter, composer, band and orchestra leader Wynton Marsalis is never short of an opinion nor a critic. One of the legendary Marsalis family from New Orleans, Wynton's become a powerful and controversial figure in jazz for his comments about what jazz is and what it isn't. But he's a brilliant trumpet player and he's brought his Jazz at Lincoln Centre Orchestra to Australia. One of the works they'll perform is Wynton's Symphony No. 4, The Jungle - an ode to New York City, where he now lives.
