FIrey natural black opal cabochon originating from Ethiopia. This weighs 1.90 CTS and has been cut into an oval shape. The measurements are approximately 11.5 x 8.0 x 3.4 mm.

This is not an overly large stone but is one of exceptional quality with a stunning play of color. Bright multi color flashes light up the entire surface of the gem in a Irridescent display as best seen in the supplied video. As with all opals, the colors are most intense when viewed under a light source, either artificial or sunlight.

This is a natural gemstone and has been smoke treated to enhance color. Don't be fooled by lesser imitations. This is not a doublet or filled product, this is solid earth mined stone. There is no discernable damage or chips and is in excellent condition.
