Some people think that crackle glazes can be tricky to use but we are here to show you otherwise! Polyvine's Crackle Glaze is so simple to use, and we will teach you a couple of tricks to getting even better results.
Now, this is not to be confused with a 2 step craquelure which is a completely different product.
What's the difference? In a nutshell, Crackle Glaze is used to create an aged paint look, i.e your paint is cracking to reveal an old coat of paint underneath. Crackle Glaze is used between 2 coats of paint which are typically contrasting colours.
Craquelure on the other hand is meant to look like your clear top coat has cracked, and is applied over top of your final coat of paint or even an image. The cracks are normally very fine, and can be highlighted using Polyvine Crack Highlighter. Craquelure is applied in 2 parts, a base coat followed by a top coat.
