In today’s video, Rick (The FlyFish Fanatic)™ will be tying one of his favorite patterns, The Black/Red Ice Leech. SUPER SIMPLE pattern to tie, yet super effective. This fly can be trolled for those that are not the best casters, or cast and stripped back. I fish it with a sink tip, Type 1 or a type 3 sinking line all depending on time of day and/or depth of water.
Materials:
Hook-Hends BL700 size 8-12
Thread- Semperfli Nanosilk 12/0 Olive
Body- Semperfli Red & Black Ice Dubbing mixed together
Head- Silver Bead to match hook
