We went on a day trip to Akumal from Playa del Carmen where we went on a guided tour to snorkel with the majestic sea turtles and enjoyed the amazing beach. Akumal is a small coastal town located on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. The name "Akumal" means "place of turtles" in the Mayan language, and the town is known for its beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. that is teaming with marine life including a large population of sea turtles.
