Two types of Bamboo rafting options are available in Thekkadi. Full day and Half day rafting. Both are in different area and we have already went for full day rafting. Today we are going for half day bamboo rafting and this is one of the main attractive tourism programme in Periyar Tiger Reserve, Thekkadi. They are offering around 4 hours of trekking and one hour of rafting in the forest and lot of domestic and foreign tourists are coming for this program. This wildlife sanctuary is home to tigers and a significant elephant population, as well as rare specious of other animals also.
