In the early hours, we ventured to the National Archaeological Museum of Greece. Just after opening, the crowds were sparse, allowing for a leisurely exploration.
This museum, Greece’s largest, boasts an incredibly rich collection, housing over 20,000 artifacts spanning from the Stone Age, Bronze Age, Mycenaean and Dorian periods, to Ancient Greece, Classical Antiquity, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman periods. It stands as the most comprehensive repository of Greek archaeological findings worldwide.
Here, we encountered treasures unseen during our visit to Mycenae. Today, we had the joy of witnessing these relics firsthand, free to scrutinize each piece meticulously, a truly blissful experience.
