The Chinese government sent boxes of masks to South Korea to help in the efforts to contain Covid-19. The South Korean Red Cross said the masks would be sent to those who were particularly vulnerable to the virus. As of Friday, South Korea has 8,652 confirmed coronavirus cases, with 95 deaths. Worldwide, more than 80,000 have recovered from the novel disease, most of them in China.
