Roland's new V-Drum Acoustic Design range is a mammoth step forward in the evolution of the electronic drum kit, pairing their acclaimed V-Drum technology with real drum shells and newly designed cymbals, offering the most realistic playing experience to date.
Just to make it clear, this isn't the same as just sticking mesh heads and triggers on an acoustic kit, the high-quality poplar shells have been designed to incorporate 2 extra plys to reduce resonance, and the bass drum is fitted with an internal pad offering a really satisfying "thuddy" feel when playing it.
There are a few different options in the range, offering different drum sizes and configurations, powered by either Roland's TD-27 or TD-17 modules...making the VAD the most versatile, powerful and most realistic electronic drum kits for the gigging musician.
