CHITAL DEER Or Spotted Deer which is also known as Axis Deer due to Chital Deer's Zoological name Axis axis, is found in Indian Subcontinent .Chital was first described by German naturalist Johann Christian in year 1777. Chital is medium sized deer , Male Chitals are big in size , Female Chitals are smaller in Size. The upper parts of Chital are golden to rufous, completely covered in white spots. Chital's abdomen, rump, throat, insides of legs, ears, and tail are all white. The antlers of Chital are nearly 1 meter long.
