The Election Commission announced Friday, May 2nd that the leader of the opposition party beat the incumbent in the March presidential election, but not by enough to avoid a runoff. President Robert Mugabe has accepted the results and pledged to compete in a runoff. Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has said he would not run. The United States and Britain say the results lack credibility after the government delayed releasing the count by more than a month. VOA's Chris Simkins reports
