The OctoFrost™ IQF is an optimal solution to freeze shrimp because it can provide an efficient separation, without the formation of blocks and lumps. In the OctoFrost™ freezing process, the raw red shrimp is blanched for 15 seconds, and then it’s loaded in hoppers in order to reach the first bed, where it benefits of circulating fluidization. After this, the shrimp is glazed and ready to fill the boxes. The OctoFrost™ IQF shrimp maintains its natural appearance, with intact antennas.
