Now that the foundation, floor and walls are in place what falls into place next? Obviously it would be the roof of the structure. Follow along as we cover in detail the initial wood framing of the roof outline. We chose what is called a hip roof. We first chose it because we liked the lines and how it added to the overall look of the home. Secondly as my years in the trade have taught me it’s also one of the best designs when it comes to offering strength against strong tropical storms and even hurricanes. Join me as I describe the undertakings. Those who are following the process won’t want to miss the next video. It will be covering the rebar and pour. There’s no storm that will ever be able to peel off this roof like so many do when it comes to the western’s use of bricks and stick construction. Hope this is providing you with a greater understanding of how it’s actually done in the DR. Till next time this is Barry in DR.
