I look around social media fitness and I'm a little bit baffled, honestly. Baffled at the extent to which people are seemingly OBSESSED with the idea of "steroid fitness," but to the degree that the "steroid" part of the equation seems to take on even greater precedence than the "fitness" part of it.
Here I'm not referring to fake natties or anything of that sort. Rather, here I am referring to pages and channels that throw the idea of steroids and other performance enhancing drugs in your face. Rather than trying to hide from it, these people have made it their identity and their brand. Fitness is tangential here to the idea of drugs, not the other way around.
These are channels and pages dedicated almost solely to discussing drug usage. How people do it and the sorts of cycles they run, horror stories pertaining to cycles gone wrong, different side effects from different drugs, and transformations as a result of different drugs as well. And then there also pages that are dedicated essentially to blackpilling you out of training naturally by basically calling it a waste of time.
The popularity of these concepts, even amongst people whom the topics provide ZERO VALUE to (aka non-steroid users), begs the question: why do we all fetishize steroid fitness?
