During the past weekend, the "Italian" prototype of the new ETR 400 'Freccia Rossa 1000', trainset No. 2, has performed the first trial runs over an high speed line. Every evening, the runs departed from Milano Centrale. The ETR, led by an E656 to Milano-Rogoredo, performed the trial runs to Bologna autonomously, using both its 3kV and 25kV equipment. - MS
