There were emotional and incredible scenes in the stadium ahead of 1.FC Köln’s home game against FC Augsburg. The Köln players walked entered the pitch alongside disabled children, refugees and senior citizens. An excited fan was visibly delighted to accompany scoring supremo Anthony Modeste ahead of kick off. The club’s own foundation, which supports projects in Cologne and the wider area, was the focus of the match. What a fantastic gesture by 1.FC Köln!
