Colas Rail Class 37s, 37219 and 37116 head along the slow lines through a very wet Bamfurlong on the afternoon of Tuesday 19th January 2021. The Class 37s were coasting towards a yellow signal ahead of a booked wait at Wigan Springs branch. The pair were working the first of this year's regular Tuesday "Test Trains" and were running a couple of minutes early as they pass the site of the long gone Bamfurlong station.

After a bit of a break with the weather around lunchtime after torrential rain all morning it was rather typical that it started raining a few minutes before the train arrives. Fortunately it wasn't too windy this time as usually the wind will always blow towards my lens when set up at this spot. Needless to say I got soaked on the way home since my coat leaks, trousers soaked too due to the rain though at least the rain washed my boots which had been completely covered in mud on my way in and out of the woods so "every cloud" and all that ;)

*My camera momentarily blurs twice as I pan around on this shot, it's never done that before and I believe it was due to a combination of panning around on the yellow coaches, adjusting the zoom and a drop of rain landing on the lens.
