The upcoming federal election provides an opportunity to finally break the grip of the political duopoly that is strangling democracy in Australia, through the concept of open democracy.
Open democracy is to the two-party system, what ride sharing was and is to the cab industry. Like the old cab industry, the two-party system is inefficient, wasteful, corrupt and resistant to change.
The grip of the old taxi industry was broken only through the disruption of ride sharing.
Similarly, the grip of the two-party system can only be broken through the disruption of open democracy.
