Using three 2x3x8 pieces of construction grade pine I created this super strong blanket ladder. I covered the ladder in a grey stain and then sanded it randomly to give it a distressed wood look. The whole project cost under $10 assuming you have the stain (of choice) already and some glue or construction adhesive.
