On March 19, a shocking incident unfolded in Badaun's Baba Colony where two children were hacked to death. Prompt action by the UP Police led to the killing of one of the accused in an encounter. Heavy police presence was observed as locals protested against the ghastly double murder. Police officers and security personnel conducted a flag march on March 20 to ensure law and order. UP Police officials investigated the crime scene at the victim's house in Badaun.
