Starting his professional career with a graduate role in banking, a friend of our Pro Punter got him onto AFL data despite having never watched a game in his life. After making a model and eventually realising it was profitable to the tune of 65-70%, he began to take his modelling and betting seriously.
He then became interested in greyhounds, using publicly available data to build a model for dogs racing. Looking back on it all, he notes the difference between betting AFL and betting NRL and touches on the short seasons of those codes perhaps wrongfully reflecting your model's edge.
