In honour of designers Sergio and Andrea Pininfarina (hence the 'SA' and 'Aperta' means 'Open') and packing the 599 GTO's astonishing 661 bhp V12 and gearbox, the Ferrari 599 SA Aperta is one of the most desirable open top supercars ever made. The SA Aperta has a 10mm lowered ride height over the standard 599, recalibrated magnetic dampers, thicker anti-roll bar and a reinforced body shell to make up for the loss in stiffness due to the removable hard top roof. With an exhaust note that harks back to the V12 Formula One cars of yesteryear, this is made more special by the rarity of having a removable hard top roof which was not available on it's successor the F12tdf.
Being 1 of 80 cars built worldwide and believed to be 1 of only 8 RHD UK supplied cars; the SA Aperta is the rarest modern-day Ferrari built, outside of it's one-off project cars. This particular car was specified for one of Ferrari's most important VIPs and is effectively a Tailor-Made car which is instantly distinctive by the special livery adorning the triple layer paintwork and featuring a carbon fibre removable roof. Even more impressive is on the interior which features specially requested red tinted carbon fibre throughout. In an age where the Tailor Made programme wasn't really a thing at Ferrari, the fact that this car exists in this specification is a testament to the original owner which was a trailblazer for bespoke one-off specifications. Having been a part of an incredible collection and still showing delivery mileage, this is a rare investment opportunity to purchase a modern-day, very limited production Ferrari thoroughbred.
