I nearly didn't make it to the Taj Mahal because the day I planned to go was Friday when it's closed! However I changed my train and managed to go on Saturday morning! It was amazing!

I entered the Taj Mahal East Gate and got to the ticket booth one hour before sunrise which was the perfect time as I was close to the front of the queue. The East Gate opened 30 minutes before sunrise.

In my opinion sunrise is the best time to go to the Taj Mahal, it's so magical going in as it's getting light and watching the sun rise. Best of all it's the quietest time of day at the Taj Mahal. By 9:00 when I left it was so busy!

I had high expectations of the Taj Mahal and it exceeded them all! You have to visit the Taj Mahal when in Agra and India!
