UPDATE April 3, 2021: First off, thank you to everyone who flooded this vid with views and subs this past week. I appreciate every one of you for coming! And thank you YouTube algorithm for reaching out to them! I'm so glad to see this vid start taking off, and it even beat my GigaWing 2 video's views that took 12 years to reach, wow! I might have to change my PFP to a yellow Ferrari F50, LOL! Anyway, I play a lot of niche games so hopefully you'll find more to like on my channel.

And just because of the influx of views, I just turned on my 360 and booted up OutRun (among other games) and it still works and the external hard drive didn't crash. But also, I'M SO RUSTY!! I managed to pass my ghosts in 1 section of the Water Falls stage in 15-Stage Time Attack, so there's something. Maybe the next OutRun vid will be 15-Stage Time Attack, or possibly Heart Attack. In this run, I totally obliterated my old record of 3.16M on the 15-Course mode, many years after I left the game. It's not a perfect run but I'll take it!

I only realized now, at the date of uploading when I played through the game on a whim, how to maximize on pass points during slipstreaming. It basically means you have to enter a car's slipstream and pass it within a certain amount of time. That's important for scoring from Rivals too, a successful slipstream pass is the difference between 25,000 and 50,000 points! You would think I would know that by now, after playing so many hours of OutRun 2006 Coast2Coast and Online Arcade. You'd be mistaken!

In the end, however, it's probably better to just concentrate on scoring in the 'blue' speed zone, when you're slipstreaming past 297 km/h (approximately) when both the speed AND score indicators are blue. Which means the last step for mastery is learning the slipstream exploit, which is basically max speed tailgating. I'm not sure how I feel about that, so I'm going to leave that for now.
