As per the latest news on Mirror Now, NDA announced Draupadi Murmu as their Presidential candidate and the upcoming Presidential elections wherein the former Union minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Yashwant Sinha has been named as the joint candidate of the Opposition for the Presidential elections. If elected, she would be the first President to belong to a tribal background. The BJP Parliamentary party, which met on Tuesday, discussed the name of Murmu, the former Jharkhand governor and tribal leader.
