A collection of short clips of 70000 hauling the Torbay Express through 2012, which individually did not warrant publication, here assembled in "down" journey order between Dawlish and Goodrington Sands, and "up" between the newly installed Greenway Halt and the Teign Estuary. Look out for the interesting scenario between the little boy in red and his mother on Paignton Station. Looking back, I see myself at his age with the same excitement, even though steam power was still the norm then. Unlike today's "concerned" parent, my mother had no worries about the 'steaming beast' up front as I dragged her away from her shopping to watch trains depart from this very spot and for a 'lift-up' onto the footplate by the crew as a special treat. Simple but happy days!!
