Singhateh, also known as Freaky Joe, addressed the controversy surrounding Awa's album launch, changing the ongoing dispute between her and her management.
During an interview on the VM Show, Singhateh explained that after facilitating a European tour for Awa, her manager, Ali Wally tried to sabotage her album launch on December 6th at Qcity by traveling to Dubia.
However, Singhateh accused Gambian managers of prioritizing personal gains over the artist's welfare, warning artists not to blindly trust their management to avoid disappointment and career stagnation.
Singhateh said, “Gambian managers desire to travel more than the artists, despite some having less than 6,000 Dalasis in their bank accounts.”
He mentioned that Awa's management "boycotted" the album launch because they prioritized personal gain.
Meanwhile, The drama escalates as Singhateh faces accusations of exploiting talented Gambian female artists for his benefit, his relationship with Awa causing tension with other artists like Miss Jobz.
Rumors suggest jealousy between Miss Jobz and Awa due to Singhateh's alleged favoritism, impacting the music scene and Awa's career.
Singhateh has responded to these allegations and also criticized the financial irresponsibility of managers who, according to him, lack even basic funds while exploiting artists for profit, yet questions linger about his dynamics with Awa and their implications.
