Sealift is how many people in Nunavut get cargo in the summer months. One can ship a car, lumber or a year's worth of food. It is a lifeline to some of the northernmost communities in Nunavut.
Check out High Arctic Haulers on CBC if in Canada, and on YouTube if not. This short series shows the sealift and the many communities that utilize its services.
I do not get any referral fees for this. I just personally have enjoyed it very much and love how you can see the people in their communities :)

Nunavut means "our land" in Inuktitut, the language spoken by many Inuit in Canada. I am enjoying my time living and working on the Nunavut Land Claim among Inuit. What an honour and a privilege!
