Protected areas can play a key role in addressing climate change as nature-based solutions that increase resilience of ecosystems and communities, mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and offer tools for adaptation to climate impacts.
In this webinar, Analiz Vergara, of WWF's Living Amazon Initiative, discusses the role of protected areas in climate change strategies. She also speaks about current efforts by Latin American protected areas system directors to link protected areas into global climate change planning and finance on the road through COP21 in Paris.
