The Next Generation of Helicopters. The US military has unveiled its insane new super tiltrotor, the V-280 Valor. The Valor is a next-generation aircraft that combines the speed and agility of a helicopter with the range and endurance of an airplane. It is the only Future Vertical Lift weapons system with flight-proven agility, speed, range, and endurance for the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft mission.
The Valor is powered by two Rolls-Royce AE 1107C turboshaft engines, which give it a top speed of over 300 knots. It has a range of over 1,100 nautical miles and can carry a payload of up to 20,000 pounds. The Valor is also equipped with a variety of weapons and sensors, making it a versatile aircraft that can be used for a variety of missions, including troop transport, close air support, and air strikes.
