Today we are looking at the LTAC100 with Remote from Lift Tech Marine. This unit has been designed for freestanding boat lifts that use the large turn wheel, with up to a 7000 lb capacity and works with most freestanding lifts on the market today.
The unit can be operated with either a key...or one of the two Key FOB remotes. This unit is equipped with a soft start motor and runs on a 110v AC power and has an average draw of 6 to 11 amps during normal operation. We recommend a 20 amp GFI outlet especially if you are using an extension cord.
The AC models have a power indicator that flashes on and off to show that you have power running to the motor. But it can also tell you if the motor is running normal. With normal operation, the light will come on for 2 seconds and then go off. If the motor is struggling or starts to pull too many amps, the light will remain constant while the motor is in use.
The motor is little to no maintenance. The install kit uses a heavy duty multi tooth spline for a very strong connection to the winch. Installation is simple and getting your wheel off is usually the hardest part.
Lift Tech includes a back up bit for manual operation of the unit in the event of a power outage or system malfunction. Simply put the back up bit in a drill, remove the plastic cap off the back of the motor and bring the drill up to the motor and power down.
There is an optional LED canopy light and can be zipped tied to your canopy bows. The light simply plugs into the side of your motor and you can power it on and off with your remote.
