® Ratargull swamp forest-
The forest is located south of the river Gwain, in the Fatehpur union of Goainghat in Sylhet district. On the southern side of the forest there are again two haors: Shimul Bil Haor and Newa Bil Haor. [8] Its distance from Sylhet city is 26 km.

®Volagonj-
Transportation system and distance: Bholaganj is located at a distance of 33 km from Sylhet. There is no direct transport system. From Sylhet you have to take public bus or CNG baby taxi to Tuk Bazar. You have to go to Bholaganj by Babytaxi again from Tuk Bazar. In order to go to special quarries, the permission of the BDR of the post situated on the banks of the river must be taken. Engine boat fares range from Tk 1,500/- to Tk 2,000/-. Because these boats are used for lifting stones. Sailors get a lot of income from it. As a result, if they want to transport people, they don't agree to pay the fare if they don't get the same fare as stone transportation. Special quarries also have BDR posts. It is better to roam the border area with their knowledge. The condition of Sylhet-Bholaganj road is very deplorable. If you don't have your own vehicle, traveling with women/children will become difficult. Although the road distance from Sylhet city is short, it will take about one and a half hours due to the road.

Bholaganj of Companyganj upazila of Sylhet is home to the country's largest stone quarry. Meghalaya's Khasia falls from the Jaintia hills during monsoons. Stones come down with the tide in Dhalai river. Stone extraction continues until the arrival of the next monsoon.


There is also the Bholaganj Ropeway project built in 1964-1969 at a cost of 200 million taka - the length of which is 11 miles and the number of tower excavation plants is 120. Excavated stone was sent to Chatak Cement Factory. After 1994 this method of stone quarrying has been stopped.


There is a special quarry at a distance of 20 minutes by engine boat from here. Basically, this place is called a special quarry because it is very close to the border. From there you can enjoy the wonderful beauty of nature.
