FM Nirmala Sitharaman presented Union Budget 2024-25 today, on July 23, during the Budget Session of Parliament. Post Budget 2024, Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait says "Centre might find this budget good on the papers but it is not going to benefit the farmers on the ground. Companies that will teach organic farming to the farmers are going to benefit from this. Govt should have paid attention to the price of crops, provide free power, cheap fertilizers, reduce GST on farming equipment."
