Stretch their tongues, hover, feed on flowers, sleep, sway in the wind. Plumage has a variety of tints, and this video captures several immature and female birds. Broad-tailed Hummingbirds (Selasphorus platycercus) do not sing (only chatter or buzz), but while I was filming them other invisible birds were singing marvelous songs.
